Since 1 November 2016 AdWords ad spend payments have been invoiced by Google Australia & GST has been added. Read on to find out how to download an Australian Tax Invoice for GST.
The first step for everyone is to go to adwords.google.com and sign in with your user name and password in the top right hand corner.
Then, follow these steps
1. Go to Billing on the Grey Cog in the top right hand corner
Please note – Google is currently rolling out a new billing interface
If you see a screen with text surrounded by square boxes with shadowed edges, something like the image below, then you have the new billing interface.
With the new billing interface, follow these steps
1. Select transactions from the left column
2. Scroll down and select the month that you need the invoice for
Note – the invoice isn’t added until the month is finished in the US time zone, so might not be there for Australians looking on the first of the month
3. Click on the drop down arrow at the right of the screen
You’ll see links where you can click to view the “Australia Tax Invoice” and the “Monthly Invoice”.
When you click on the relevant invoice, you’ll see an option to ‘download’ it.
Then, you’re good to go!
With the original billing interface, follow these steps
1. On the Billing tab, under ‘transaction history’ scroll down to where you see the date range
You’ll see something like the screen shot below
3. Click on the link to Documents
Then you’ll see an option for both ‘Australia Tax Invoice’ and ‘Monthly invoice’. By clicking on the option you want you’ll be able to download the invoice you need.
Need more help accessing your invoices?
