I’ve now been in business for over four years and 2013 was a great year for Click-Winning Content.
I wanted to share some of the highlights.
1. Clients and Business Network
My clients are wonderful.
I really enjoy helping make businesses successful and ensuring that they get the best possible return from their Google ad spend. So it’s a great feeling to read all the emails that I received this week with lovely messages of thanks for how my services have contributed to my clients’ businesses.
My business network is equally wonderful.
Through face-to-face networking, joining groups, attending events and social media I’ve met a vast array of fantastic business contacts who regularly send new business my way. I appreciate every referral, particularly because they are the type of people who become wonderful clients
Here are some testimonials that my clients have written recently:
From Facebook:
Melinda has been helping our business with Google Campaigns for over a year now, and the results are fantastic. She’s continually works hard to ensure that our campaign is effective and it’s been fantastic to see the direct link between ad spend and results. When you see an expert like Melinda creating and tailoring the Campaign, you understand why it makes sense to engage their services – you stop wasting money and instead start optimising your spend.
John Kelly, Self Super Insurance
As a small business owner rather that having time to practice my trade I was pulling my hair out trying to learn everything I needed to about this whole other language of Google AdWords. I was so relieved when a friend recommended Click Winning Content. Instantly Mel was able to put me at easy and help me figure out how to get my business advertising back on track. She offers affordable and flexible training package that have changed the way I do business. I will continue to work with Mel well into the future.
Through my business network I also got opportunities to present on “Google Analytics 101” for Melbourne WordChicks, The Australian Business Women’s Network and Motivating Mum.
2. Going to Sydney for the Google Partners launch
Being flown to Sydney by Google in October for the launch of their new Partner Program was a huge highlight for me. I was able to meet Googlers and other Google Partners, find out about the new Partner Program and enjoy a wonderful lunch overlooking Sydney harbour.
3. The Gippsland Blogging Mastermind Group
In conjunction with my good friend Wendy from Italicherry Design Studio in Traralgon I set up a monthly meeting of Gippsland business owners who wanted to learn about getting more web traffic from Google and take advantages of the opportunities created by blogging and social media. Over sixth months the group members turned into Blogging Masterminds!
This article covers the process we worked through: How to Build your Business Blogging Momentum (One Article at a Time).
4. New designs
Late this year I finally started working on revamping my own website and marketing, which is something I’ve been planning in my head for a long long time. I was starting to feel like the shoemaker who can’t make time to fix his own kids’ shoes but things are finally progressing now.
I worked with amazing designer Judy Brandt who created new images for my Facebook and Google + pages. These images will also be featured when my website is updated in the next few months. (Judy also designed the Christmas image below).
5. Google + and Facebook
This list wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention the incredible people who I’ve met and am connected with via Facebook communities, my Facebook business page, Google + and Google + communities.
I appreciate every single “like”, “comment” and “+1” on my updates and whenever I have a question or need feedback about something I know that I’ll get the information I’m seeking via these social media platforms.
I’ve said it before, but if getting web traffic from Google is important for your business in 2014, my recommendation is to get active on Google +.
Here are some reasons why business owners need to make time for Google +.
I hope you’ve had a great year too and thanks for your ongoing support and reading my blog updates.
Onward to 2014!
Melinda
